Safeguarding & Risk Management

We maintain a zero-tolerance approach to abuse

Safeguarding is central to our organisational culture.

We operate a zero-tolerance approach to abuse, neglect and exploitation, ensuring risks are proactively identified and managed rather than addressed reactively.

Our safeguarding systems include:

  • Comprehensive risk assessments

  • Clear incident reporting procedures

  • Mandatory safeguarding training

  • Defined reporting pathways to local authorities

  • Continuous monitoring of individual risk profiles

  • All concerns are documented, reviewed and escalated in line with statutory obligations.

We are proud to hold an OFSTED Outstanding rating (2025), reflecting our commitment to high standards, safeguarding excellence and continuous improvement.

Staff Competence & Supervision

All care staff are trained to a minimum of Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care.

 

Additional certificated training includes (but is not limited to):

  • Food Hygiene & Safety

  • Protection of Vulnerable Persons

  • Basic First Aid & CPR

  • Health & Safety in Care Environments

  • Manual Handling

  • Dementia Awareness

 

Training is refreshed regularly to ensure staff remain competent, confident and aligned with best practice standards.

Regulatory Compliance & Standards

Shebahl Support Services operates in accordance with the regulatory frameworks governing supported accommodation and domiciliary care in England. Our services align with guidance and standards issued by OFSTED, the Care Quality Commission (CQC), safeguarding partnerships and relevant statutory legislation.

 

We regularly review our policies and operational practices to ensure continued compliance with national standards and best practice across the health and social care sector.
